December 23, 2014 - While everyone else was planning for Christmas fun and festivities with family and friends, Susie the wife and mother of three children was planning for chemo treatment, bilateral mastectomy and deciding if she wanted reconstructive surgery as she was told that she had an aggressive and deadly disease… Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

This battle didn’t come without war wounds. Susie and her family endured some hardships that lead to unpaid time from work, repossession of a vehicle and limited support from family. Thanks to finding a flier about Jill’s Wish, Susie found relief from some of the financial stressors she was facing…

Being the hard core Social Worker that she is Susie was determined to help others that was fighting this battle as well - she knew that there was purpose for her pain – Sharing the mission of alleviating financial stressors, bringing hope and resources to others… Using the strength that she drew from her supporters & making it her own (Susie’s Strength). Susie joined forces with the warrior that helped her, Jill’s Wish. Through this synergy, the mission is far from impossible!
